A TOKEN OF INTERNATIONALITY – VISITING PROFESSORSHIP FOR DR. JOHN BEECH
The very successful international orientation of the FH Kufstein is evident not only in the curriculum of all its degree programs, but also in the line-up of its faculty members. Recently, the internationally renowned sport and tourism expert Dr. John Beech, MA MBA PhD FRSA, accepted a visiting professorship.

On February 4, 2010, in the context of its Kufsteiner Winter School, the faculty of the degree program Sports, Culture & Event Management conferred its first visiting professorship upon Dr. John Beech, MA MBA PhD FRSA. Prof. Beech is Head of Sport & Tourism Applied Research at Coventry University (England) and the author of numerous publications in sport management and sport marketing.

“With the conferment of a visiting professorship upon Professor Beech, the degree program Sports, Culture & Event Management has set a further milestone in strengthening its international orientation,” says Director of Studies Prof. (FH) Dr. Robert Kaspar. The Sports, Culture & Event Management program was launched in 2001 and with its three components (a bachelor program in both a full- and part-time format as well as a master program in a part-time format), it is an important part of the program range at the FH Kufstein.
